Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and clinical support to healthcare providers and patients in the Neurosurgery department.
  • Assist with patient preparation, vital sign collection, and medical record documentation.
  • Coordinate patient care, including scheduling appointments, tests, and follow-up care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, medications, and test results.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current BLS certification required upon hire or within 60 days of hire.
  • Three months of previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Successful completion of an Accredited National Certification Exam for Certified Medical Assistants (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
  • One year of Medical Assistant experience preferred.
