Position Overview for Maintenance Mechanic:
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, with shifts ranging from 8 to 10 hours.
  • Compensation: $35.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Mechanic:
  • Execute tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager while fostering positive relationships within the team.
  • Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical malfunctions in machinery.
  • Plan repair activities utilizing schematics or equipment manuals as necessary.
  • Conduct general repairs, including but not limited to [insert examples of general repairs].
  • Perform routine maintenance on material transfer systems.
  • Engage in welding, fabrication, and metal repairs of equipment.
  • Manage inventory and procurement of supplies for maintenance tasks.
  • Identify and resolve issues in electrical systems, PLC controls, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Ensure the upkeep of production machinery and related electrical and mechanical systems.

Qualifications for Maintenance Mechanic:
  • A minimum of three years of experience in production maintenance.
  • Familiarity with electrical circuits ranging from 12 volts to 480 volts.
  • At least three years of experience with process control systems.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capacity to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Vocational diploma or equivalent education/training, or a combination of education and experience.

Working Environment for Maintenance Mechanic:
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of items up to 75 pounds.
  • Regular movement around factory and laboratory equipment.
  • Job may require sitting, standing, walking, lifting, and bending.
  • Exposure to diverse environments, including heat, cold, and chemical fumes.
  • Protective eyewear and hearing protection are mandatory.
  • Steel-toed footwear is required on the manufacturing and warehouse floor.
  • Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to undergo training within 14 days of employment.
