Role Overview: As a Patient Placement Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaboration: Work closely with Capacity Managers, nursing supervisors, infection control personnel, and leadership teams to facilitate effective patient placement decisions, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Communication: Maintain ongoing dialogue with relevant staff to ensure a seamless patient flow and keep essential personnel updated.
  • Technology Utilization: Employ the necessary tools and technology to oversee and enhance continuous patient movement.
  • Data Management: Ensure precise admission, discharge, and transfer records, along with all patient flow metrics as outlined by the Capacity Management team.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in required software applications, telecommunication systems, and patient tracking tools.
  • Stakeholder Interaction: Engage with all necessary stakeholders, including nursing staff, physicians, and transport teams, utilizing effective communication skills to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; familiarity with computer systems, including OS, Outlook, Word, and Excel; and at least one year of experience in a medical or acute hospital environment, with a preference for patient placement experience.
