Position Overview:

The Health and Wellness Advocate will be instrumental in implementing a comprehensive 12-week wellness program. This role involves inviting and motivating individuals from their social networks to participate in engaging discussions about healthy living. The selected candidate will receive thorough training and ongoing support from our expert team to effectively lead these sessions and inspire positive lifestyle changes.

Key Responsibilities:
Attend a series of in-person training sessions to gain essential skills for facilitating wellness discussions. Reach out to family, friends, and community members to encourage their participation in the wellness program. Organize and host weekly discussion sessions, lasting approximately one hour, in a comfortable setting. Lead informal conversations focused on various aspects of healthy living during these sessions. Demonstrate commitment to personal health by engaging in physical activities and making healthy choices. Complete feedback reports and evaluations after each session to share insights on the program's effectiveness. Participate in data collection and surveys to contribute valuable information to our research efforts. Maintain regular communication with the support team and attend scheduled meetings as needed. Required Qualifications:
Must be a motivated resident of the community. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage participants. Ability to facilitate group discussions in a friendly and encouraging manner. Willingness to learn and implement the discussion methods provided by the support team. Commitment to attending all program sessions and fulfilling associated responsibilities. Availability for required training sessions. Enthusiasm for contributing to community health initiatives and research. A demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion in previous experiences is essential.
