This role is crucial for the coordination of intricate, design-focused projects and requires strong leadership skills to mentor less experienced colleagues throughout the project lifecycle.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Engaging in all stages of design, from initial concepts to detailed construction documentation and administration.
- Exhibiting exceptional hand and digital sketching skills.
- Utilizing software tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite proficiently.
- Demonstrating expertise in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Employing 3D modeling software, including Rhino, SketchUp, and/or 3ds Max, as preferred.
- Communicating effectively in both verbal and written formats.
- Understanding building codes and ADA regulations, with the capability to conduct code analyses.
- Possessing in-depth knowledge of architectural building systems.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
- Ability to articulate ideas and collaborate with project teams and clients.
- Strong coordination skills for detailed conditions with consultant teams.
- Self-motivated with problem-solving capabilities, requiring minimal daily oversight.
- Licensure is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience in Construction Administration or on-site project management is advantageous but not essential.
- Capability to lead projects of varying scales from Concept Design through to Construction Administration in partnership with a Project Manager or Senior Project Architect.
Candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in an architectural firm.
