Job Overview

PGAV Destinations is in search of a proactive and innovative professional who possesses a solid understanding of architectural principles. The ideal candidate should demonstrate quick learning abilities, a collaborative spirit, and a robust work ethic, capable of managing multiple projects concurrently. This role is crucial for the coordination of intricate, design-focused projects and requires strong leadership skills to mentor less experienced colleagues throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Engaging in all stages of design, from initial concepts to detailed construction documentation and administration.
  • Exhibiting exceptional hand and digital sketching skills.
  • Utilizing software tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite proficiently.
  • Demonstrating expertise in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Employing 3D modeling software, including Rhino, SketchUp, and/or 3ds Max, as preferred.
  • Communicating effectively in both verbal and written formats.
  • Understanding building codes and ADA regulations, with the capability to conduct code analyses.
  • Possessing in-depth knowledge of architectural building systems.
Qualifications

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Ability to articulate ideas and collaborate with project teams and clients.
  • Strong coordination skills for detailed conditions with consultant teams.
  • Self-motivated with problem-solving capabilities, requiring minimal daily oversight.
  • Licensure is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in Construction Administration or on-site project management is advantageous but not essential.
  • Capability to lead projects of varying scales from Concept Design through to Construction Administration in partnership with a Project Manager or Senior Project Architect.
Education and Experience

Candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in an architectural firm.
