We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse II to join our team at Sutter Health. As a Registered Nurse in our Neonatal ICU, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their physical, emotional, and social needs, and develop individualized care plans to address these needs.
- Patient Education: Provide patients and their families with education and support to promote healthy behaviors, disease management, and self-care.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety, reduce errors, and promote best practices in patient care.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, with a Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Certifications and Licensure: Current RN licensure in the state of practice, with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of six months of acute care experience within the last two years, with area-specific experience in Neonatal ICU preferred.
- Skills and Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of basic nursing skills, effective English written and communication skills, and ability to prioritize multiple demands in a fast-paced environment.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The successful candidate will be able to maintain a high level of professionalism, even in challenging situations.
