Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Food Service Worker-Tray Passer to join our team at Baptist Hospital of Miami. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for preparing, assembling, and delivering patient meals in accordance with quality, service, infection control, and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver patient meals in a timely and efficient manner
  • Deliver stock supplies to patient floor kitchens
  • Serve guests and maintain positive customer relations
  • Replenish used foods and supplies as needed
  • Complete sanitation duties and perform dish room tasks as assigned
  • Collect payments for guest trays and handle transactions in the cafeteria
  • Set up and serve meals for corporate retail, catering, and other dining outlets
Requirements
  • High School Diploma, Certificate of attendance, GED, or equivalent experience
  • FOODSAFE Food Safety certification within 90 days of employment
  • Healthcare, hotel, or restaurant food service experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the English language
