About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Transducer Engineer to join our team at Bose. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing new transducers that meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop specifications for new transducers and recommend them for use in our products.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers across the corporation to support product development.
  • Analyze acoustical data using MATLAB and develop tools and lab fixtures to improve measurement capability.
  • Communicate directly with suppliers and manufacturers through written reports.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for acoustic measurement best practices and enforce consistency with internal and external labs.
Requirements
  • BS or MS in an appropriate technical discipline, such as Acoustical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics.
  • At least 5 years of work experience in engineering product development, preferably in Automotive (OEM) Audio.
  • Strong understanding of physical acoustics, structural dynamics, and electromagnetics.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to discuss complex technical issues with both experts and non-experts.
  • Experience working on multi-disciplinary teams and with systems, electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with bass boxes and loudspeaker standards.
  • Familiarity with OEM Validation considerations and measurement system experience with industry tools like Audio Precision or Klippel.
  • Equivalent Circuit Simulation experience with PSPICE/LTSPICE, Simulink/Simscape, or finite element analysis (FEA) for acoustical, structural, and electromagnetic systems.
