Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to manage all aspects of payroll processing and administration across multiple states. The successful candidate will ensure accurate and timely payment processing, tax compliance, and benefits reconciliation.

About the Role

This hands-on role offers growth potential into broader management responsibilities as our organization expands. You will be responsible for managing full-cycle payroll processing for employees across multiple states, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Manage cost allocation processes across departments and programs
  • Process and file payroll taxes, including quarterly and annual returns
  • Maintain detailed documentation of payroll procedures and policies

You will serve as the primary liaison with our payroll technology vendor to optimize system functionality and implement improvements. Additionally, you will review and approve payroll changes, generate and analyze payroll reports, and stay current with payroll regulations and tax law changes.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum 5 years of experience in a full-service payroll role
  • Demonstrated experience with multi-state payroll processing and tax compliance
  • Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements
  • Experience with benefits administration and reconciliation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification

Competitive salary: $85,000-$95,000 per year.
