Job Overview

We are currently seeking qualified Section 3 Workers in San Francisco. This role is essential for supporting various projects within the community.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

To be considered for a Section 3 position, candidates must reside in San Francisco and fulfill one of the following criteria:

  • Public housing resident.
  • HWS Section 8 voucher recipient.
  • Participant in a Youth Build program.
  • Must reside in the City of San Francisco.

General Labor Responsibilities:

  1. Carry out diverse manual labor tasks, including digging, lifting, and transporting materials.
  2. Assist in the assembly and disassembly of equipment and structures as required.
  3. Safely operate various hand and power tools.
  4. Adhere to instructions and guidelines to complete tasks within set time frames.
  5. Maintain a tidy and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  6. Help load and unload materials, supplies, and equipment from delivery vehicles.
  7. Support skilled tradespeople, such as carpenters and electricians, by performing basic tasks as directed.
  8. Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment.
  9. Follow all company policies and safety protocols.
  10. Immediately report any safety issues or incidents to the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Preferred experience as a General Laborer or in a similar capacity.
  3. Strong physical endurance and ability to repeatedly lift heavy items.
  4. Competence in using basic hand and power tools.
  5. Ability to follow directions and work independently or collaboratively.
  6. Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and supervisors.
  7. Basic knowledge of workplace safety regulations.
  8. Willingness to work in varying weather conditions.
  9. Dependability in adhering to work schedules.
  10. Flexibility to adjust to changing tasks and priorities.
