We are currently seeking qualified Section 3 Workers in San Francisco. This role is essential for supporting various projects within the community.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
To be considered for a Section 3 position, candidates must reside in San Francisco and fulfill one of the following criteria:
- Public housing resident.
- HWS Section 8 voucher recipient.
- Participant in a Youth Build program.
- Must reside in the City of San Francisco.
General Labor Responsibilities:
- Carry out diverse manual labor tasks, including digging, lifting, and transporting materials.
- Assist in the assembly and disassembly of equipment and structures as required.
- Safely operate various hand and power tools.
- Adhere to instructions and guidelines to complete tasks within set time frames.
- Maintain a tidy and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Help load and unload materials, supplies, and equipment from delivery vehicles.
- Support skilled tradespeople, such as carpenters and electricians, by performing basic tasks as directed.
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment.
- Follow all company policies and safety protocols.
- Immediately report any safety issues or incidents to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred experience as a General Laborer or in a similar capacity.
- Strong physical endurance and ability to repeatedly lift heavy items.
- Competence in using basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to follow directions and work independently or collaboratively.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and supervisors.
- Basic knowledge of workplace safety regulations.
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions.
- Dependability in adhering to work schedules.
- Flexibility to adjust to changing tasks and priorities.
