Position Summary:

The Technical Support Analyst will be responsible for delivering exceptional technical assistance and support to our staff, ensuring seamless operation of our technological systems. This pivotal role is crucial for maintaining our IT framework and facilitating our operational processes. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical foundation, outstanding problem-solving capabilities, and a focus on customer service. This position reports directly to the IT Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for IT-related inquiries, addressing issues related to hardware, software, networks, and peripheral devices.
  • Handle support requests through various channels, including phone, email, and in-person, with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical challenges, escalating complex issues to senior IT personnel as needed.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and other office technology.
  • Assist in onboarding new hires by setting up workstations and user accounts.
  • Maintain detailed records of support requests, solutions, and other IT-related activities using a ticketing system.
  • Ensure adherence to company IT policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to IT projects, including system upgrades and the implementation of new technologies.
  • Provide basic training and support to employees on effectively and securely utilizing company IT resources.
  • Stay informed about the latest technological advancements to enhance support capabilities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by departmental leadership.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a technical support or help desk role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proficient in Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common business applications.
  • Understanding of basic network troubleshooting, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Experience with IT ticketing systems and remote support tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Customer-focused with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • Effective time management and task prioritization skills.
  • Strong initiative and self-direction in completing projects.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with management, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Exhibit integrity, reliability, and ethical conduct.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; or equivalent professional experience.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).
  • Familiarity with manufacturing software and systems.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Physical Requirements:

  • Mobility: Ability to navigate office spaces and manufacturing areas, including walking and standing.
  • Flexibility: Must be able to bend and crouch to access equipment in confined spaces.
  • Lifting: Capability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 15 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Manual Dexterity: Proficient in using hand tools and handling small components.
  • Vision and Hearing: Adequate to troubleshoot issues and communicate effectively in various environments.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas.
  • Must be able to travel between multiple facilities as needed.

Work Environment:

This position may expose the employee to fumes, airborne particles, and mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can vary from moderate to loud.
