Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Clinical Nursing Faculty member to join our team at West Coast University, Inc. As a key member of our student-centered community, you will play a vital role in guiding nursing students to achieve their full potential and become compassionate caregivers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Serve as a role model, mentor, and facilitator who provides academic support and guidance to students.
  • Teaching and Learning: Demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and the teaching/learning process, and apply your skills and experience to your assigned teaching schedule.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Participate in and contribute to assessment activities of courses/curriculum and programs via a continuous improvement plan set forth by the University.
  • Classroom Materials and Syllabi: Regularly contribute to the improvement of class materials and syllabi within a shared governance culture.
  • Scholarly Activities: Maintain scholarly activities and participate in professional growth and service in accordance with university policies.
  • Student Success: Advance our commitment and focus on the students we serve, and their success as healthcare professionals.
  • Technology Integration: Fully leverage our innovative technologies and resources, such as our Simulation and Innovation Labs.
  • Clinical Responsibilities: If working with students in a clinical setting, assume complete responsibility for students in clinical facilities, clarify clinical expectations with students, and utilize care planning time to direct students to available resources needed for clinical preparation.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in nursing.
  • Experience: A minimum of two (2) years prior experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care and a minimum of one year experience in the field in which they teach.
  • Licensure: Professional nurse licensure required.
