We are currently in search of an Operations Supervisor to manage our Building and Coating Kitchen/Prep areas.
The objective of this role is to effectively lead and ensure operational excellence by establishing standardized, visible metrics for all key deliverables, driving efficiency enhancements through disciplined execution of defined initiatives, and fostering a culture centered on our core values that brings out the best in our employees.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Organizational Development (20%)
Lead the operations team to achieve 'meets or exceeds' performance ratings for all objectives.
Recruit and/or develop high-performing individuals who are committed to delivering results as outlined in the operational plan.
Collaborate effectively with all cross-functional teams to maximize success and enhance operational expertise across the organization (Commercial, Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Maintenance, R&D, & Technical).
Operations Excellence (60%)
Assume full ownership and accountability for all aspects of the operational area.
Effectively manage and be accountable for the site's annual operational targets for safety, cleanliness, quality, service, efficiency, uptime, waste, and manufacturing costs.
Develop and communicate clear metrics for Safety, Quality, Service, Productivity, Waste, and Cleanliness.
Make metrics and initiatives clearly visible through the development of informational tools that assist in gaining understanding and awareness throughout the organization.
Administer, communicate, and support our annual Safety, Wellness, and Recognition programs and establish and communicate by the beginning of each year.
Provide leadership and direction to safety advocates to drive floor-level safety initiatives and training improvements.
With Finance support, establish and execute an annual operating budget aiming for significant improvements in efficiency, waste, and operational costs.
Enhance communication efforts by consistently leading communication meetings and supporting initiatives to improve communication effectiveness, as measured by employee feedback.
Capital Budget/Project Execution (20%)
Ensure all approved capital projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet expected returns.
Establish and manage a project pipeline that identifies productivity and waste improvement projects annually, clearly defining project scope, execution plan, expected savings, and timeline for completion.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
A minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
3 to 5 years of experience in coating or paper production is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and multitask.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Prior experience with systems and continuous improvement methodologies.

This position is fully onsite and operates during standard business hours, with potential fluctuations based on business needs.
