Position Overview:
This position is designed for the upcoming academic year, with a focus on fostering student growth in mathematics.
Compensation:
Certified educators will receive a starting salary of $76,000*, while non-certified educators will start at $68,000*. *The certified starting salary includes a $5,000 hiring incentive for certified Math Teachers, along with a $5,000 incentive from Liberty County, a $2,000 STAAR Teacher Stipend, and a $5,000 Late Hiring Bonus.
Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Design:
1. Create and execute lesson plans that align with the district's curriculum, ensuring thorough preparation and accommodation for diverse learning needs.
2. Utilize effective teaching strategies and resources that cater to various learning styles, adhering to guidelines set by educational authorities.
3. Assess student learning preferences and adjust instructional activities accordingly.
4. Collaborate with special education staff to tailor curricula for students with individualized education plans.
5. Work with colleagues to establish instructional objectives and methods in line with district standards.
6. Supervise the work of instructional aides and volunteers.
Student Development:
7. Conduct ongoing assessments of student performance through both formal and informal evaluations.
8. Engage in extracurricular activities as assigned, promoting student involvement.
9. Serve as a positive role model, supporting the educational mission.
Classroom Environment:
10. Foster a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning, addressing the physical, social, and emotional needs of students.
