Key Responsibilities:
- Establish new projects within the Job Cost System
- Manage payroll, insurance, and overhead allocations for projects
- Oversee the general ledger postings of construction draws across multiple projects
- Ensure receipt and accuracy of Subcontractor/Supplier Waivers of Lien
- Verify compliance with Path's requirements for W-9s, Insurance Certificates, EEO, and other necessary documents from Subcontractors and Suppliers
- Handle accounts receivable and comprehend the construction billing and collections process
- Assist in the follow-up of outstanding accounts receivable invoices to maintain positive cash flow
- Support special projects as needed
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of contracts and change orders
- Analyze project variances and collaborate with project teams for corrective actions
- Report project profitability to management
- Collaborate with clients to meet their reporting requirements
- Finalize project accounts upon completion
- Prepare and submit government reports and tax returns related to projects
- Compile information for external audits as required
Qualifications:
- A degree in accounting or business administration is preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience, ideally in a construction project cost environment.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills, capable of engaging with all organizational levels.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel; familiarity with Sage Construction CRE 300 and Paychex is advantageous.
