Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Accounting Operations Manager to oversee our Corporate accounting functions.

As the Accounting Operations Manager, you will be accountable for all aspects of the general accounting operations, either directly or through subordinate managers. Your role will include the management of the development, implementation, and maintenance of various accounting systems, including but not limited to: journal entries, general ledger, cash management, accounts payable, and various accruals, all in compliance with US GAAP and relevant policies and regulations.

You will also be responsible for designing and maintaining operational procedures that meet audit standards while enhancing efficiency to ensure effective internal controls are in place. Additionally, you will ensure the accuracy of data produced in our systems, supporting the objectives of our Business Units and Divisions. Your role will involve the precise compilation, analysis, and reporting of accounting data and financial results. You will participate in annual audits and special projects, and oversee the hiring, training, motivation, and evaluation of your team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily operations of the corporate accounting department.
  • Assist in managing the activities of the center of excellence (COE) shared services group.
  • Oversee and review the preparation of the corporate accounting ledger and sub-ledger.
  • Direct general accounting tasks including prepaids, accruals, and corporate allocations among various general ledger accounts.
  • Contribute to the development of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures related to accounting and financial management.
  • Review monthly account reconciliations and workbooks prepared by senior and staff accountants.
  • Coordinate the preparation of external audit support and necessary materials.
  • Establish system controls and develop procedures to enhance accounting systems.
  • Maintain a focus on continuous improvement and business process optimization.
  • Coordinate submissions to the Defense Contract Management & Audit Agencies, including Forward Pricing and Incurred Cost Submissions.
  • Manage reporting related to budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and departmental spending.
  • Work effectively with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • CPA, CA, CGA, or CMA certification is desired.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in accounting.
  • 4-6 years of management experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in MS Office.
  • Experience with OneStream financial reporting tool is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Infor Syteline or similar ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Sales & Use Tax is preferred.
  • Experience with DCAA accounting and audits is desirable.
