Key ResponsibilitiesAs a PRN Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering hospice care and nursing services to patients who are recovering, managing chronic illnesses, or nearing the end of life. The Registered Nurse employs the nursing process to ensure high-quality care is provided in a compassionate, ethical, and professional manner, leading to exceptional patient satisfaction and outcomes.
- Comply with the Corporate Compliance Program, ensuring the confidentiality of HIPAA-protected health information.
- Deliver patient care in accordance with established treatment plans and develop care plans based on thorough patient assessments.
- Continuously evaluate and adjust care plans and assessments in response to patient and environmental changes.
- Communicate any changes in patient conditions to the appropriate personnel and attending physician, as necessary, while coordinating services with other healthcare professionals and community resources.
- Manage cases by collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, providing both physical and emotional support to patients and their families, and guiding and mentoring team members.
- Administer, instruct, supervise, and coordinate nursing care for patients and their caregivers under the guidance of supervisory staff.
- Exhibit sensitivity to the diverse needs, customs, and emotions of patients and their families.
- Serve as a clinical resource for patients, caregivers, and the organization, offering educational support to patients and their families.
- Document all required information accurately and promptly.
Possession of an active RN License in the state of service.
A minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience is required; two years of experience in hospital, hospice, or homecare nursing is preferred.
Current CPR/BLS Certification is mandatory.
Willingness to participate in on-call duties.
