Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Marotta Controls, Inc. in Parsippany, NJ.

Job Summary:

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and components for our aerospace and defense customers. This includes creating detailed designs, specifications, and test plans, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical systems and components, including valves, fluid control devices, and other related equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design and development meet customer requirements and specifications.
  • Develop and maintain detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and test plans.
  • Conduct design reviews and ensure compliance with company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of components and materials.
  • Participate in design and development of new products and technologies, including proof-of-concept prototypes and testing.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 1-5 years of experience in mechanical design and development, preferably in aerospace and defense industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks or Pro/E, and experience with design and development tools, such as ANSYS or Pro-E Mechanica.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, as required by the company.
