About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our team at CommonSpirit Health Mountain Region. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical services, working closely with our surgical team to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the surgical team during operative procedures, arranging and inventorying sterile set-ups of instruments, equipment, and supplies.
  • Pass items to surgeons and nurses as needed, ensuring a seamless and efficient surgical experience.
  • Prepare and move patients, sterilize and clean instruments, equipment, and rooms, maintaining a high level of sterility and cleanliness.
  • Scrub on all cases, working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Assist with room turnover and restocking for next day's cases, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
Requirements
  • One year of experience in a surgical setting, preferably in a specialty field.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records.
  • Completion of an approved Surgical Technician program and certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery (CST) from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays, with a 30-minute call-back radius.
