Key Responsibilities
  1. Install Trailer Parts: Install all parts on trailers and assemblies not installed prior to painting, ensuring that they are properly secured and meet quality standards.
  2. Tire Installation and Torque: Install tires on trailers per order and torque down all wheels with a nut runner as per specifications.
  3. Decal and Stripe Installation: Install stripes, company decals, informational, and safety decals as specified, ensuring that they are properly aligned and secure.
  4. Quality Control: Verify each order for customer specifications on equipment required, ensuring that all parts and accessories meet quality standards.
  5. Paint Touch-up: Touch up paint with aerosol spray cans and quart cup guns as needed, ensuring that the finish is smooth and even.
  6. Brake Adjustment: Adjust brakes as directed, ensuring that they are properly aligned and functioning correctly.
  7. Hazardous Materials Handling: Handle, store, and dispose of all hazardous materials properly, following company procedures and regulations.
  8. Standard Work and Procedures: Follow standard work and procedures, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  9. Equipment Operation: Operate various equipment and tools required to perform job duties, including overhead cranes, forklifts, air tools, and paint guns.
  10. Respirator Use: Use a respirator when performing paint touch-up, ensuring that you are properly protected from hazardous fumes.
  11. Pulmonary Function Test: Pass a pre-employment and annual pulmonary function test (PFT) with acceptable results, ensuring that you are fit for duty.
  12. Physical Demands: Be able to move around, on, and underneath trailers, using a creeper as needed, and handle tires and torque wrenches.
  13. Decking Material Installation: Accurately cut and install decking material on trailers, ensuring that it is properly secured and meets quality standards.
Position Qualifications
  1. Measuring Tool Accuracy: Ability to use measuring tools and devices accurately, ensuring that all parts and accessories meet quality standards.
  2. Math Skills: Ability to apply basic math skills with addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, ensuring that all calculations are accurate.
  3. Computer Skills: Possess basic computer skills, including the ability to read and follow instructions.
  4. Reading and Following Instructions: Possess the ability to read and follow instructions, including safety procedures and company policies.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  1. Work Schedule: Ability to work up to a 12-hour shift, with flexibility to fluctuate hours as needed.
  2. Physical Demands: While performing duties of the job, employee is required to stand, kneel, walk, sit, climb, bend, and twist; use hands to finger, handle, and feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  3. Lifting and Moving: Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, ensuring that they are properly secured and handled.
  4. Visual Requirements: Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  5. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to changes in temperature and humidity, exposure to dust, fumes, and is near moving machinery.
  6. Hazardous Waste Management: Upon initial assignment to an area where hazardous waste will be handled, training on management of hazardous waste must be conducted within six months of start date.
  7. Annual Training: Annual training is required for management of hazardous waste, including a review of the company contingency plan.
