Job Summary

Micron Technology is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Site Engineer to join our NY Expansion Construction Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality engineering services and specifications for the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of facilities systems in support of semiconductor manufacturing and facilities expansion.

This role requires a strong background in mechanical engineering, with a focus on facilities and semiconductor systems. You will work closely with our facilities teams and manufacturing sites to ensure that all designs and systems meet the highest standards of safety, regulatory compliance, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and plan systems and buildings to ensure safe operations and maintenance
  • Develop, review, and maintain equipment and component specifications and standards
  • Ensure material compatibility and compliance with applicable standards, codes, and regulations
  • Review and advise sites on system status presentations and capacity planning databases
  • Provide project support, including cost and schedule estimates and justification
  • Supervise and coordinate consultant resources as needed
  • Ensure appropriate communication with local facilities, design, construction, procurement, and manufacturing collaborators
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering required
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in semiconductor and/or facilities-related industry
  • Technical expertise in facilities and semiconductor mechanical and process systems
  • Ability to prioritize and schedule workload and work on multiple tasks concurrently
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing and facilities systems

Micron Technology offers a competitive salary range of $99,000.00 to $169,000.00, depending on location and experience.
