The Small Combatants and Ship Systems Portfolio within the IWSS Line of Business is on the lookout for a Financial Program Analyst to oversee the AEGIS Design Agent Contract.

This role presents a unique challenge in a fast-paced setting, requiring the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Excellent communication skills are essential, as this position collaborates with various departments (Planning, Contracts, Program Management, Engineering, etc.) to ensure financial obligations are met.

The ideal candidate will assist in Cost and Earned Value Management (EVM) tasks, supporting Program and Control Account Managers (CAMs), and analyzing financial data to provide insights for informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with analysts and their CAMs to establish and manage program cost baselines, conduct EAC (Estimate at Complete) analyses, including justifications and variance assessments.
  • Work alongside analysts to create financial plans, forecasts, and manage monthly/quarterly closing activities, including supporting and reconciling quarterly EAC/CSR reviews.
  • Proactively analyze and manage financial performance to ensure alignment with forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior analysts, ensuring EVM and financial data are accurate and compliant with established guidelines.
  • Participate in various meetings and respond to data requests, including monthly internal reviews and ad hoc inquiries.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in communicating with senior leadership and external clients, particularly DCMA and DCAA.
  • Background in financial planning and budgeting.
  • Familiarity with SAP, Hyperion, and P2P systems.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Team-oriented with strong communication abilities and a positive demeanor.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of PPMP Requirements.
  • Proficient knowledge of cost systems (SAP, COBRA, wInsight, etc.).

Work Schedule Information

Compensation Overview

Salary Range:


The annual base salary range for this position in various locations is $71,000 - $136,000.

This salary information serves as a general guideline.
