Job Title: Staff Quality Engineer

Aurora Innovation is seeking a highly skilled Staff Quality Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our quality engineering team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our self-driving technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support quality engineering activities related to internal hardware design, manufacturing, OEM interaction, contract manufacturing interaction, supplier interactions, and ISO 9001 compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Analyze and interpret quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure quality goals are met.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality assurance - automotive manufacturing, electro-mechanical assembly operations, robotics, or equivalent field experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with comprehensive understanding of quality assurance tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma Process, APQP, PPAP, and FMEA.
  • Experience with ISO-9001 and IATF 16949.
  • Proficiency in Minitab or other statistical software capabilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
