Job Summary

George's is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Helper to assist the Refrigeration Operator with the maintenance of refrigeration equipment and Boiler and steam systems in our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in refrigeration, maintenance, and related fields, with a focus on preventative and predictive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in maintaining equipment and processing service records.
  • Document services, repairs, temperature readings, and other relevant information.
  • Assist the operator with preventative and predictive maintenance on refrigeration systems and equipment, including Boiler and steam systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in refrigeration, maintenance, or a related field.
  • Refrigerating Engineers and Technicians Association (RETA) membership with Certified status.
  • Assistant Refrigeration Operator (CARO) certification or ability to obtain.
  • Able to pass and maintain state High Pressure Steam Boiler License.
  • Valid Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High Pressure Steam Boiler operation experience.
  • Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard (HAZWOPER) certification.
  • Ammonia Refrigeration (2-stage system) experience.
  • Process Safety Management (PSM) understanding.
Language Skills
  • Fluent in English, with strong reading, writing, and speaking skills.
Physical Demands
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools.
