Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable Tax Accountant to document the company's financial transactions, prepare financial statements, and ensure tax compliance with the most up-to-date rules and regulations.

Estimated Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 per yearResponsibilities:
  • Document financial transactions and prepare financial statements
  • Analyze budgets and other financial information to inform business decisions
  • Reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Verify the accuracy of transactions that have been entered
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable in a timely manner
  • Create accounting policies to ensure compliance with all rules and regulations
Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field at minimum
  • Previous experience as an accountant, bookkeeper, or similar position is required
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) is essential
  • Knowledge of Federal and California State tax laws is required
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems is necessary
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills are required
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills are essential
Qualifications:
  • Candidate must be knowledgeable about tax codes and laws in the State of California for C-Corp and S-Corp
  • Prior experience working with companies that provide services in construction is a plus
