Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic Patient Service Representative to join our inbound call center team at Northwest Respiratory Services. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional communication and support in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle high-volume telephone calls and faxed durable medical equipment orders
  • Register and set up customers in the intake system, entering demographics, physician orders, and equipment
  • Provide over-the-phone customer assistance with equipment troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers, including branch managers, nursing home staff, and hospitals
  • Read and interpret department documents as required
  • Record details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, taking action to resolve issues
Requirements
  • Understanding of HIPAA laws to handle confidential personal and medical information
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to be punctual and dependable with a stable work history
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in handling phone calls
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent telephone skills
  • Accurate typing skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of previous call center customer service experience
  • Previous medical experience/knowledge is preferred, but not required
  • Bilingual is a plus
