We are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic Patient Service Representative to join our inbound call center team at Northwest Respiratory Services. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional communication and support in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Handle high-volume telephone calls and faxed durable medical equipment orders
- Register and set up customers in the intake system, entering demographics, physician orders, and equipment
- Provide over-the-phone customer assistance with equipment troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers, including branch managers, nursing home staff, and hospitals
- Read and interpret department documents as required
- Record details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, taking action to resolve issues
- Understanding of HIPAA laws to handle confidential personal and medical information
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to be punctual and dependable with a stable work history
- Ability to exercise good judgment in handling phone calls
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent telephone skills
- Accurate typing skills
- At least 1 year of previous call center customer service experience
- Previous medical experience/knowledge is preferred, but not required
- Bilingual is a plus
