A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CONSTRUCTION PROJECT COORDINATOR

As a Construction Project Coordinator, you collaborate with management to assess, plan, and implement project scopes effectively.

Your meticulous approach to soliciting and approving bids from subcontractors, along with developing project timelines, ensures that each project is executed flawlessly. You provide guidance and support to teams, working closely with leadership to navigate challenges that arise. As the primary point of contact, you are ready to step in and assist, even engaging in hands-on tasks when necessary.

Your exceptional organizational skills are evident as you maintain comprehensive records of job activities and inventory management. You are responsible for generating precise reports and documentation by diligently keeping a daily log of site conditions, activities, and communications.

By adhering to and enforcing all Environmental, Health, and Safety protocols, you lead daily safety briefings and guarantee that all work complies with industry and organizational standards.

You actively manage change orders and keep a close watch on project budgets, profit margins, and timelines, enabling you to provide timely updates and address any potential project risks proactively.

Your ability to be available around the clock and maintain accurate documentation is vital for ensuring smooth operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Basic computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Fundamental understanding of Xactimate scopes.
  • Basic knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Intermediate problem-solving skills and foundational knowledge of budgeting and cost management.
  • Proven ability to motivate and oversee staff, including both employees and contractors.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage, schedule, and organize all project aspects from material handling to final completion.
  • Minimum of 4 industry certifications required.
  • Valid driver's license is mandatory.

SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • This is an on-call, hourly position with variable hours.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and respond 24/7 is essential.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment while managing stress to meet deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Potential travel to disaster sites and exposure to hazardous conditions may be required.
