Job Overview

Under the guidance of the Chief Technologist and Radiologists, you will conduct radiographic procedures that require indirect supervision. This position mandates specific competencies related to age. You will also be responsible for various other tasks as assigned, ensuring adherence to National Patient Safety Goals relevant to your level of patient interaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor radiographic equipment, ensuring proper functionality and promptly reporting any issues.
  • Utilize safety equipment such as cones, collimators, lead aprons, gloves, and gonad shields to ensure maximum radiation safety.
  • Perform necessary clerical and computer tasks related to radiology requests.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in radiographic examination rooms.
  • Employ appropriate nursing techniques to ensure patient care and safety within the radiology department.


Accountability
You will be responsible for maintaining satisfactory attendance, reporting for scheduled shifts, clocking in on time, and completing assigned tasks efficiently and effectively. Providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications
  • Completion of two semesters in an accredited Radiology program, verified by the program director.
  • Upon finishing the accredited Radiology program, obtaining American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification within 90 days is required.
  • Current CPR certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Effective communication skills in English (both verbal and written) are necessary.
