Position Overview:
As a Radiologic Technician, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare team by performing diagnostic imaging procedures. Your expertise will contribute significantly to patient care and the overall efficiency of the imaging department.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Patient Interaction:**
- Clearly explain imaging procedures to patients to ensure their understanding and comfort.
- Provide educational materials as needed.

2. **Patient Management:**
- Safely transport patients to and from imaging areas, verifying their identity in accordance with established protocols.
- Assist in preparing patients for examinations by positioning them appropriately.

3. **Operational Support:**
- Aid technologists in managing patient reports and charts, ensuring accurate matching of films to folders.
- Follow strict radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure risks to patients.

4. **Technical Proficiency:**
- Prepare and administer contrast media and medications as per regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor patients during procedures, reporting any unusual findings promptly.

5. **Quality Assurance:**
- Ensure high-quality imaging by submitting all images and documents accurately to the PACS system.
- Maintain equipment functionality and report any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.

6. **Department Maintenance:**
- Keep the imaging department clean and organized, including all procedure and storage areas.
- May assist in performing limited CT procedures in emergency situations when necessary.

Qualifications:
- An Associate's degree or completion of a recognized radiology certification program is required.
- No prior experience is necessary, making this an excellent opportunity for recent graduates.

Physical Requirements:
- The role involves constant standing and walking, with frequent lifting and moving of patients and equipment.

Licensure and Certification:
- Must hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and relevant state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.

Work Environment:
- This position typically involves night shifts and requires a commitment to maintaining a safe and alert working environment.
