Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacogenomics Pharmacist to join our team at Ochsner Health System. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing expert pharmacogenomics services to patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide pharmacokinetic consultation and guidance to healthcare providers on medication selection and dosing.
  • Evaluate patient response to drug therapy and document interventions and outcomes.
  • Develop and implement pathways, best practices, and guidelines for pharmacogenomics services.
  • Educate staff, students, patients, and healthcare providers on pharmacogenomics principles and practices.
  • Mentor residents, students, and new staff to ensure departmental goals are met.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless transitions of care and patient safety.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or equivalent.
  • Completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency or 3 years of related specialty experience.
  • Current Pharmacy license in the state of practice.
  • Strong leadership, teaching, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and data entry.
