Job Summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager - Land Surveying to lead and manage land surveying projects as well as the Land Survey staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Supervise, coordinate, and review activities and deliverables of field and office staff assigned to various land surveying projects.
  • Client Management: Work closely with engineering staff and clients to ensure project goals and objectives are met.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and direction to the Survey Technicians and LSITs, and manage and schedule individual projects.
  • Quality Control: Perform or delegate tasks as assigned by the Survey Department Manager or Survey Project Manager, and ensure quality control of drawings and legal descriptions prepared by others.
  • Boundary Resolution: Resolve boundary line issues and sign and seal completed drawings, legal descriptions, and surveyors reports.
Requirements
  • Education: Registered Land Surveyor (RLS) with 0-4 years of experience as a PLS.
  • Experience: Must have experience with ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, topographic surveys, wetland surveys, final plat and as-built surveys, and construction staking.
  • Skills: Must have strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience with project-related budget management and invoicing.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships, handle complex issues/problems, work in a team environment as well as independently, and effectively communicate with all levels of employees in the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry Experience: GADOT experience a plus.
  • Software Skills: Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson Survey, Trimble TBC, and Trimble Access is a plus.
