Job Summary

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) plays a crucial role in providing safe, compassionate, and focused nursing care to assigned patients. Working under the direct supervision of the registered nurse, the LVN assists in carrying out the patient's plan of care, adhering to the state's nurse practice act and organizational policies.

Essential Functions

* Deliver high-quality patient care, prioritizing the safety and well-being of patients.
* Perform tasks efficiently, ensuring timely completion of responsibilities while maintaining quality standards.
* Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop patient-centered plans of care, incorporating feedback from patients, families, and colleagues.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
* Participate in staff meetings and training sessions, staying informed about best practices and updates in the field.

Requirements

* A high school diploma or equivalent, along with graduation from an approved LPN/VN program.
* At least two years of experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in an acute care setting.
* Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of practice, as well as BLS and ACLS certifications.
