ROLE SUMMARY
The Cutting Machine Operator is accountable for ensuring the safety, quality, and efficiency of machine operations. This position plays a crucial role in the timely processing of client orders and the management of material flow, thereby contributing to overall operational efficiency. The Operator is also tasked with the safe and effective operation of machinery, ensuring that finished products are accurately labeled and moved to subsequent stages as necessary.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interprets job instructions, material specifications, and work orders.
  • Plans and organizes the workflow for the task at hand.
  • Prepares and stages materials in the designated work area.
  • Conducts routine maintenance and sets up machinery as required.
  • Operates machinery to execute tasks on components according to specifications and blueprints.
  • Performs initial inspections to verify that all dimensions meet specified tolerances.
  • Adjusts machinery settings to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Executes all necessary operations to produce successive components or perform multiple tasks.
  • Conducts periodic inspections of parts as per job requirements.
  • Organizes finished products on pallets or in containers, ensuring proper labeling with work order and part numbers.
  • Tags pallets with the appropriate identification.
  • Completes necessary documentation accurately.
  • Transfers materials to the next phase of production as required.
  • Undertakes additional tasks as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 0-1 years of experience in a related field.
