Your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Providing technical direction on interdisciplinary technology and product development initiatives.
  • Designing and implementing product and commercial system architectures in partnership with technical and cross-functional teams.
  • Representing R&D in collaborative efforts on cross-functional deliverables.
  • Engaging with external stakeholders to gauge current and future market demands.
  • Translating overarching customer, business, and manufacturing needs into precise technical specifications.
  • Ensuring the effective development and support of hardware, mechanical, electrode/lead, and software systems along with their interfaces.
  • Creating, establishing, and documenting system architectures and design control elements.
  • Defining and analyzing system requirements, clinical workflows, and input/output processes utilizing systems engineering methodologies.
  • Identifying technical risks, formulating risk mitigation strategies, and implementing phased system integration approaches.
  • Offering expertise and guidance for validation and verification processes.
  • Steering projects to adhere to industry standards while assisting in the formulation of internal standards.
  • Collaborating with Program Managers to strategize and execute projects within designated timelines and budgets.
  • Facilitating detailed project planning, tracking, and issue identification.
  • Managing technical dependencies and critical path elements.
  • Communicating effectively with project team members, stakeholders, and upper management regarding project expectations, status, and deliverables.
  • Leading and mentoring a team of systems engineers in best practices of systems engineering.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of technical excellence and guiding the team to uphold these standards throughout all phases of the program.

Qualifications:

BS in Engineering or Science is required. Minimum work experience: 10+ years with BS, 8+ years with MS, or 5+ years with PhD.
