Job Title: Residential Adjunct Instructor - Surgical Technology Practicum I
Job Summary:
Rasmussen University is seeking a qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach in our Surgical Technology program. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Surgical Technology Practicum I, a clinical course that provides students with a solid introduction to the operating room and scrub and circulating routines.
Responsibilities:
- Teach Surgical Technology Practicum I, a clinical course that provides students with a solid introduction to the operating room and scrub and circulating routines.
- Develop and implement curriculum and assessment for the course.
- Provide students with feedback on their performance and be available for individual appointments as needed.
- Communicate with students, leadership, and peers in a professional and timely manner.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Surgical Technology or a related field.
- Active, unrestricted CST or CST/CSFA certification.
- 2+ years of experience in the operating room scrub role, as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both within the past 5 years.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Surgical Nurse or Surgical Technology.
- Clinical preceptor experience.
