The Endoscopy unit is dedicated to providing comprehensive patient care throughout the pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and recovery phases.

Role Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse (RN) operates within the ANA scope of practice, employing the nursing process framework to deliver professional nursing care. This includes integrating patient-family centered care principles to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and facilitate discharge. The RN is responsible for providing high-quality patient care under the guidance of the Nurse Leader, adhering to Corewell Health policies and procedures, and understanding the influence of nursing care and patient/family collaboration on health outcomes. The RN collaborates with patients and families to incorporate their input and goals into the care plan and develops educational strategies for them, ensuring proper documentation of education and learning in the health record.

Qualifications Required

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing is mandatory.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required within five years of hire.
  • Current Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license is necessary upon hire or transfer.
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire or transfer.
  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required upon hire or transfer.
  • A minimum of two years of RN experience is preferred, particularly in Endoscopy.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule, requiring 40 hours per week. The RN will work Monday to Friday with on-call responsibilities during weekends.
