Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Senior Office Specialist to join our team at Stanly County, NC. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing records, and performing a variety of administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to the public, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records, files, and logs, ensuring compliance with county policies and procedures.
  • Perform data entry, typing, and other administrative tasks using standard office technology.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments and meetings, and establish schedules based on specific oral or written instructions.
  • Communicate effectively in oral and written form, both internally and externally.
Requirements
  • Graduation from high school and demonstrated possession of knowledge, skills, and abilities gained through at least two years of office assistance/secretarial science experience.
  • Ability to work independently on responsible administrative support tasks, some of which may be confidential or sensitive.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information and establish effective working relationships with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and the general public.
