Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team at Jobot. As a key member of our team, you will provide comprehensive legal support to our attorneys, helping them prepare for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for trials and court proceedings, ensuring all necessary documents and materials are organized and readily available.
  • Manage the discovery process, including drafting requests and responses, coordinating depositions, and reviewing and organizing documents.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case preparation and ensure all relevant case law, statutes, and regulations are considered.
  • Review and analyze medical records, depositions, and other case materials to identify key issues and develop effective strategies.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and briefs, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Liaise with clients, witnesses, medical providers, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel to gather information and resolve issues.
  • Maintain case files and manage case timelines, ensuring all deadlines are met and cases are progressed efficiently.
  • Assist with settlement negotiations and mediation presentations, providing expert analysis and recommendations.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in personal injury law and court procedures, ensuring our team remains knowledgeable and compliant.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a personal injury paralegal.
  • Strong knowledge of litigation support, document review, and legal research.
  • Proficiency in using legal research platforms and software.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved institution is preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to review and understand medical records.
