Position: Full-Time Personal Injury Legal Assistant

We are in search of a committed and skilled Personal Injury Legal Assistant to enhance our vibrant team.

Position Summary: As a Personal Injury Legal Assistant at The Ledger Law Firm, Texas Division, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys with the preparation and management of personal injury cases. Your responsibilities will include client interaction, evidence collection and organization, drafting legal documents, and assisting with case strategies to ensure a seamless legal process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Coordination: Aid attorneys in managing case loads by organizing files, tracking essential deadlines, and maintaining effective communication with clients, medical professionals, and experts.
  • Document Drafting: Prepare, review, and file legal documents such as complaints, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
  • Evidence Gathering: Collect and organize evidence including medical records, accident reports, witness statements, and expert opinions to support case preparation.
  • Client Liaison: Act as a primary contact for clients, providing updates, addressing inquiries, and ensuring clients are informed throughout the legal proceedings.
  • Legal Research: Conduct legal research and compile summaries of findings to assist in case strategies and litigation efforts.
  • Court Submissions: Prepare and file documents with courts and administrative bodies, ensuring adherence to all procedural requirements.
  • Discovery Support: Facilitate the discovery process by managing requests, responses, and related documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related discipline. Paralegal certification is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a legal assistant, with a focus on personal injury law preferred.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with a meticulous attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities are essential.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with personal injury litigation processes, legal research, and case management software.
