Job Summary

St. Luke's Health System is seeking a part-time Security Officer to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of patients, visitors, staff, and hospital property.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular patrols of the premises and grounds to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Monitor and control access to health system facilities, ensuring that only authorized individuals are granted entry.
  • Respond to and investigate incidents, collecting data and reporting security, safety, and fire hazards.
  • Apply de-escalation techniques to manage high-risk patients, ensuring their safety and the safety of others.
  • Participate in care planning for high-risk individuals, including physical control within established parameters.
  • Use preventative patrol and loss prevention techniques to minimize security risks.
  • Investigate disturbances, serve as a liaison with law enforcement, and maintain order and safety in emergency situations.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs, as well as security equipment.
  • Provide direction and answer questions from patrons and employees regarding the location of organization services.
  • Monitor patient, visitor, and employee parking, enforcing regulations and issuing citations as necessary.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Valid driver's license in the state of practice and proof of driver's insurance.
  • Prior law enforcement experience is preferred.
