Job Summary

Familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures in the field. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks, leads and directs the work of others, and works independently with considerable thought and justification.

Responsibilities
  • Designs and builds relational databases for data storage, processing, analytics, and visualization.
  • Develops, implements, and optimizes tables, views, stored procedures, indexes, functions, dictionaries, and complex ad-hoc queries using T-SQL for SQL Server databases.
  • Develops, tests, and deploys reports, dashboards, query tools, and apps to production environments.
  • Develops, tests, and administers usability protocols/study for various health informatics data tools.
  • Designs, develops, tests, tunes, and implements ETL processes and/or pipelines using SSIS/Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Creates and maintains documentation as it relates to ETL, database, and report development standards, templates, and processes.
  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and fix SSIS ETL packages, reports (SSRS/PowerBI), and apps (PowerApps).
  • Monitor and support automated SQL Agent jobs or scheduled pipelines that ingest, process, and deliver data for consumption by customers/end users.
Work Environment and Level of Frequency

Nearly Continuously: Office environment. Physical Requirements and Level of Frequency that may be required Nearly Continuously: Sitting, hearing, listening, talking. Often: Repetitive hand motion (such as typing), walking. Seldom: Bending, reaching overhead.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) in a related area and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
