Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Piedmont Healthcare is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients of all ages. As a key player in our organization, the LPN will work closely with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, considering physical, psychosocial, and health history data to inform care decisions.
  • Evaluate patient's developmental age to provide tailored care and education.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that achieve desired patient outcomes.
  • Execute care plans with precision and attention to detail, ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction.
  • Provide setting-specific and appropriate patient care, adhering to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Supervise ancillary team activities, identifying opportunities for growth and development.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare personnel, addressing issues and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring seamless care transitions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to make independent judgments in high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic healthcare team, fostering a culture of excellence and patient-centered care.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited LPN program.
  • New graduates from accredited nursing schools are eligible, with a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices.
  • Current LPN license in the State of Georgia or NLC/eNLC Multistate License, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • BLS certification is a must, with ALS/ACLS and PALS certifications required for Emergency Department roles.
  • Clinical competency in the specialty area is preferred, with hospital nursing experience a plus.
  • LPNs new to the specialty will complete necessary certifications within 6 months, with experienced Emergency Department nurses needing to obtain PALS certification within 6 months.
