Key Responsibilities:
As an HR Specialist, your primary duties will include:

  • Providing HR support and services to promote a positive workplace culture, aligning HR practices with organizational objectives.
  • Administering various human resource plans and processes for all personnel, including the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state employment regulations.
  • Managing all aspects of FMLA and personal leave claims.
  • Overseeing the performance evaluation program and making necessary revisions.
  • Facilitating new hire onboarding programs and orientations, including pre-hire assessments.
  • Handling unemployment claims and communicating corporate benefits information to employees.
  • Conducting recruitment for both exempt and non-exempt positions, which includes sourcing, interviewing, and conducting background checks.
  • Managing employer-employee relations by addressing complaints, advising on policy changes, and resolving workplace conflicts.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of HR experience in a corporate setting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Federal, State, and Local employment laws.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification or equivalent is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with HRIS, Payroll, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional discretion.
