Position Overview
The Assistant Manager of Quality (AMQ) is responsible for supporting the Associate Director of Quality in maintaining high standards of quality assurance within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain an 'inspection-ready' environment by ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality management systems.
- Oversee the Quality Control program, including calibration management and monitoring adherence to established processes such as sampling and competency evaluations.
- Engage in recruitment, performance evaluations, and management of staff, including leading investigations and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations, as well as Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
- Uphold HR policies to guarantee fair treatment of all personnel.
- Monitor Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and conduct effectiveness checks to confirm resolution of issues.
- Willingness to travel overnight as needed, up to 10% of the time.
Educational Requirements
A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience is required.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience overseeing team activities, or completion of the CSL Plasma Leadership Development program.
- At least 1 year of experience in Quality Assurance (CSA/CSAb) is required.
Additional Qualifications
- Maintain certification in company Technical Training.
- Possess knowledge of complex government and industry regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance.
- Manage the financial responsibilities associated with the center.
- Proficiency in English is essential.
Working Environment
- Exposure to hazardous materials, extreme temperatures, and bloodborne pathogens may occur.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in specific areas and during certain tasks.
