Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our team at Alpha Baking Company. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for directing the activities of personnel within the bun production and packaging areas, ensuring the most efficient and effective production of high-quality bakery products under the safest and most sanitary conditions possible.

Key Responsibilities
  • Continuously monitor the settings and operations of all equipment to ensure proper operation in accordance with company standards.
  • Monitor and control all process standards relative to mixing, fermentation, dividing, molding, proofing, baking, slicing, packaging, and coding.
  • Ensure the adequate supply of all materials needed to complete production requirements.
  • Monitor the completion of all process control and quality assurance documents to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Conduct training and indoctrination of hourly employees in their job functions, Good Manufacturing Practices, Safety, and company policies.
  • Complete all required documents and reports per company and departmental policies and procedures, accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain communications with department head relative to any and all issues regarding employees, equipment, process control, quality, safety, or sanitation.
  • Report any and all maintenance and/or sanitation issues to the Maintenance and/or Sanitation Departments to ensure a safe, sanitary, and productive area.
  • Consult and, when necessary, discipline employees to maintain a safe, sanitary, and productive work place.
  • Hear and resolve employee grievances at the step one level.
  • Assist other departments as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years of manufacturing experience.
  • 1 year of prior supervisory experience.
  • Fluency in MS Office, particularly MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
