Además de las responsabilidades intraoperatorias, el asistente quirúrgico también realiza tareas preoperatorias y postoperatorias para facilitar un cuidado adecuado del paciente. Estas funciones se llevan a cabo bajo la dirección y supervisión del cirujano, en conformidad con las políticas del hospital y las leyes y regulaciones pertinentes.

Requisitos:

A. Educación/Habilidades


• Se requiere diploma de secundaria o equivalente.


• Graduación de un programa acreditado de Asistente Quirúrgico, escuela vocacional de enfermería acreditada por el estado, o graduado de una escuela de tecnología quirúrgica es necesario.

B. Experiencia


• Se prefiere 2 años de experiencia como Técnico Quirúrgico.

C. Licencias, Registros o Certificaciones


• Se requiere BLS.


• Se requiere Certificación como Tecnólogo Quirúrgico Asistente.


• ACLS es preferido.
