Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Supervisor to join our team at Getaway House Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our tiny cabins, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on cabins and infrastructure to prevent glitches and ensure a smooth guest experience.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding to guest inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all cabins are perfectly staged for guests, including cleaning, staging, and providing welcome items and provisions.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure high standards of cleanliness and maintenance are met.
  • Develop and implement ideas to surprise and delight guests, creating a memorable experience.
  • Analyze guest feedback and create plans to resolve issues and improve the guest experience.
Team Leadership
  • Steward our company culture, operating with integrity and sound judgment, and holding yourself and others accountable.
  • Serve as the first point of contact and manager on duty for the team, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of part-time team members, with a focus on Facilities Technicians and Trail Runners.
  • Ensure all team members adhere to standard operating procedures and company values.
Operational Excellence
  • Test new ideas, measure results, and embrace feedback to continuously improve day-to-day operations.
  • Oversee and perform periodic preventative maintenance on cabins, including integrity checks, woodwork, plumbing, electrical fixtures, and interior/exterior equipment.
  • Manage labor, operating supply, and maintenance budgets to track progress toward goals.
  • Help drive key performance indicators, including cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and safety.
Requirements
  • Experience in overseeing facilities maintenance technicians (2-4+ years).
  • Experience in industries similar to hospitality, residential multi-family, small healthcare, or education (3+ years).
  • Knowledgeable and proficient in handyman trades, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and small appliance repair.
  • Ability to work in compliance with regulatory and trade safety guidelines.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
