Cook - Food Preparation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Healthcare Services Group. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving food, including texture modified and therapeutic diets, in accordance with facility menus and applicable federal, state, and local standards.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and serve food, including texture modified and therapeutic diets, in accordance with facility menus and applicable federal, state, and local standards.
- Assist in assuring proper receiving, storage, preparation, serving, sanitation, and cleaning procedures are followed.
- Support Dietary Aide as necessary and direct other employees with approval.
- Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions and follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures to ensure a sanitary environment.
- Respond to the paging system in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
- After completing all appropriate training, utilize leadership skills to accomplish all responsibilities without supervision.
- Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State/County law.
- Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
