About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Surgery Partners. As a key member of our operating room team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain medical equipment for surgical procedures
  • Assist in the preparation of the operating room, including setting up surgical instruments and equipment
  • Help position patients on the operating table and cover them with sterile surgical drapes
  • Pass instruments and other sterile supplies to surgeons and surgeon assistants
  • Assist with counting sponges, needles, supplies, and instruments
  • Help prepare, care for, and dispose of specimens taken for laboratory analysis
  • Operate sterilizers, lights, or suction machines, and help operate diagnostic equipment
  • Transfer patients to the recovery room and clean and restock the operating room
Requirements
  • A graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program
  • Certified to perform CPR with 0-2 years of clinical experience in a related field
  • Ability to stand for long periods and remain alert during operations
  • Ability to lift or turn disabled patients
  • Ability to communicate verbally and use computer keyboard and view a computer monitor
