Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantum Communications Scientist to join our team at Leidos. In this role, you will participate in the full life cycle of research & development of quantum communications protocols and hardware for the study of quantum-enabled remote sensing and communications.

About the Role

You will support ongoing research projects in quantum communications, design and build optics/optoelectronics/photonics experiments, perform laboratory and field tests, write proposals, publish papers, attend and present at conferences, and collaborate with other team members to leverage quantum technologies to achieve organizational goals.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have a Bachelor's degree in physics, applied physics, engineering, or related fields and 4+ years of experience; Master's degree with 2+ years of experience. You will also need research experience and experimental background in one or more of the following areas: photonics, quantum communications, quantum information science, quantum optics, chip integrated photonics, quantum entanglement.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,150 - $153,925. The pay range is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
